The Fly is the first playable entity in EvoWorld.io, and can be spawned regardless of whether the player has an account or not, and the player's level. It was added on April 10, 2018.

Appearance[]

It has a black, oval body with the default eyes, black irises and white pupils. It has two transparent-gray wings next to its eyes, black hairs on its back and a straight proboscis (mouth) below its eyes.

Food & Predators[]

The EXP values listed below assume the player has no Bonus Codes or other boosters. If the player does have one, multiply the value shown by the EXP bonus (as a decimal, not a percent) to find how much XP will be gained.

Strategy & Tips[]

As a Fly[]

  • You will probably spawn in an area where Dung and Dead Fish are present, so try to eat them when you find them.
  • A Fly generally never stays one for long. In underpopulated servers, there may be an overabundance of Dung that the Fly can eat, as it is the only animal which can eat this, other than Swamp Monsters (Unlike most animals, the Fly can't be eaten by one, so a Swamp Monster eating dung near you is no problem).
  • You really don't need to worry about anyone eating you, given that you have the worst EXP reward of any animal in the game and block half the damage (on average) toward you. The only animals you need to worry about are Dragonflies, which have a fearsome grip attack, and Blue Birds, of which the only player-controlled animal they can eat is you. Avoid Dragonflies in particular, as they can deliver heavy damage to you with their skill, especially if multiple continuously grab you.
    • However, you are generally ignored by Blue Birds due to your skill to block out most of their attacks and your low XP reward.
  • Avoid Dragonflies at all costs! They can eat up to two animal stages higher than you, so don't rely on evolution to save yourself - your Butterfly will also get attacked!
    • If there are Dragonflies around, stay as a Fly because you'll take less damage due to your skill.
  • Since the XP required to level up is 30 XP and both of its food give 30 XP, you are the fastest animal in leveling up, alongside Ghosts.
  • When escaping from predators, there are some things to note:
    • 1. Be lucky.
    • 2. Pay attention to any bird ready to swoop on you.
    • 3. Have some skill to avoid Dragonflies to not get grabbed by them.
      • 3.5. Be cautious when near Wasps, their evolution is the Dragonfly.
    • 4. Do NOT bother to run away from reapers, they probably will not kill you as you basically give no XP to them.

As a predator of the Fly[]

  • Try to find: Cornered Flies that cannot escape easily/Flies that can be killed in 1-2 hits/Flies that are AFK. You need to be a bit lucky to hit one due to its skill.
  • If you are a Blue Bird or another bird, try to avoid killing Flies due to its skill, which makes it harder to kill.
    • One way to kill a Fly (if you can get lucky) is to use the Swoop skill on it if you are a Blue Bird or another bird, since it deals double damage against the Fly and might even kill it if it's low on health or AFK.
  • If you think it's better, let it evolve. The job may be easier as the Butterfly (which has a bigger (but still small) hitbox) and can't block attacks. However, this doesn't work for Blue Birds.
  • If you're a Dragonfly, then wait for your skill to recharge and look for a fly that has low health. Then attack the Fly and if you use your skill on it, the fly will almost certainly die.

Trivia[]

  • Flies are currently the first animal in EvoWorld.io, and the first to get a skin (The Christmas skin).
  • It is one of four animals besides the Pigeon, the Blue Bird and the Cosmic Insect that can survive the small entrance above the main entrance to the lair that spawns the Demonic Angel (The small area that has a Fire of Death where usually only Ghosts and Pumpkins can fit in to escape from reapers) if quick enough, and can fit into the tiny safe space with no fire. Take note that you can still get killed if you try to escape while low on health.
  • The Fly can survive two or more hits if it bumps into predator Non-playable Entities, due to its skill to block out most of the attacks.
  • In relation to Flies, Dungs used to give 10 XP, and Dead Fish gave 20 XP, now they both give 30 XP.
  • It is one of two animals besides the Stone Eater that can block attacks (The Stone Eater's skill is stronger due to it being a much higher tier than the Fly).
  • It is one of three animals besides the Blue Bird and the Cosmic Insect that have the smallest hitboxes of the entire game.
  • If you are on a Server as a Ghost that is AFK for too long (or if your FPS/MS is too high/low), you will respawn as a Fly with 0 XP.
  • This animal is often used to troll Snowy Owls by trapping them in the narrow underground spaces where they try to get their Lemmings.
  • This animal cannot collide with Reapers.
  • Due to its low list of predators and small hitbox, it can be used to explore the map. This can be handy for when it evolves to other animals. If it forgets, it can do it again as a Hornet. If it forgets again, it can do that again as a Stone Eater.
  • The only animal that tends to target it is the Blue Bird.
  • The Grim Reaper and the Fly share the same colors. Oddly enough, the Fly is the first animal you can play, and the Grim Reaper is the last one.
  • If you are lucky, this can be used to glitch entities easily.
  • It and the Stone Eater share many things.
    • Aside from the green, the red and the orange borders, they use monochrome colors.
    • Their food uses monochrome colors (While Dead Fish seems to be dark green in some areas and Dung is brown, those colors are made using black (green + black = dark green, red + black = brown)).
    • They can block attacks.
    • They are incredibly hard to kill due to their skill.
